Double Click on 'My Computer'. Then click on 'Dial-up Networking'. Click on 'Make New Connection'. You will see the above picture. Click 'Next' to Continue.

 

Type in your Area Code if prompted (some users may not get this screen if already setup). Click 'Close'.

 

Enter 'CRV Inc.' for the connection name. Choose your modem from the pick-list. Click 'Next'.

 

Enter the phone number for your dial-up access then click 'Next'. San Antonio is 892-0241.

 

Click 'Finish'.

 

Highlight the CRV Inc. icon by selecting it with the mouse.

 

Click on 'File'. Then click on 'Properties'.

 

Click on the 'Networking' tab.

 

Set the dial-up server type to 'PPP. Take off all check marks but Enable Software Compression and TCP/IP. Click on the button labeled 'TCP/IP Settings'.

 

Click on 'Specify Name Server Addresses'. Enter 208.246.49.27 for Primary DNS and 208.246.49.28 for Secondary DNS. Leave all other settings as listed in the picture above. Click 'OK'.

 

Click on the 'Security' tab.

 

Put your username and password in the blocks above. Do not put anything in domain. You may select connect automatically at your discretion. Do not click any of the 'Advanced Security Options'. Click 'OK'.

 

Double-click on the CRV Inc. Icon.

Enter Username and Password. Click 'Save Password' if available. Click 'Connect' to connect to the Internet.
